To set up your email account in Thunderbird, follow these steps:

Open Thunderbird Mail Client

Select the Tools tab.

Select Account Settings

Add the following:

  • Your name: Name appears in your account (e.g: John Doe)
  • Email Address: Ex.myname@domainname

Select POP

Enter Incoming Mail Server

   Server name: mail.domainname.com

   Click “Next”

 Enter the Email Address for the incoming username and outgoing username

Add the following:

Enter a name for the email account

Verify your account information and click “Next

In the Account Settings window, Verify the following information is correct

  • Server name: pop.domainname.com
  • Port: 110
  • User Name: Access Account UserID (e.g. myname@domainname)
  • Security Settings(SSL): None
  • Authentication method: Normal Password

Click Outgoing Server, in the Account Settings Window. Click ADD and enter the following information.

  • Server Name:mail.domainname.com
  • Port: 587
  • Connection security: None
  • Authentication method: Normal Password
  • UserName: Email Address (e.g: myname@domainname)

Click Ok.
