What are the hardware requirements?
The hardware requirements are different for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7. The basic requirements for each version are presented below, and more detailed information is available at Microsoft.com.
Windows 7: 32-bit
- 1GHz processor
- 1GB RAM
- 6GB available hard-disk space
- DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Windows 7: 64-bit
- 1 GHz processor
- 2GB RAM
- 20GB available hard-disk space
- DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Some features, such as native touch and video recording, require additional hardware or software. See Microsoft.com for additional details.
