Apps that you purchase from the Windows Store run in the background of your computer as you’re working on other items on your computers. These apps don’t slow down your computer, so you can actually leave them open. They’ll eventually close. But, if you’re working from a desktop application that you’ve installed, it’s a good idea to close it down after you’re done using it. Close your apps by following these steps:
- For an app that you’re currently using, you can click the app and drag it to the bottom of the screen to close it.
- If you aren’t presently using an app and want to close it, move your mouse pointer to the upper-left top of the screen and move the app toward the left of the screen.
- The apps that were recently used will surface. Right-click the app you want to close and click Close.
